Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is critical to our organization's mission, requiring expertise in information security, risk management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure information systems and networks
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Manage security incidents and respond to threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all IT initiatives
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on security solutions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM)
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Experience in government or defense sector
