Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves protecting critical information systems and networks, ensuring compliance with security standards, and implementing robust security measures.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect organizational data and systems
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Monitor security systems and respond to incidents
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security requirements are met
• Stay current on emerging threats and security trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems security
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts
• Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls

Clearance Requirements:
We require an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph for this position.
