Jefferson is seeking Exercise Support Subject Matter Expert to support the USAF 505th Tactical Training Group.

This role will be Onsite at Hurlburt Field, Florida

Jefferson is seeking a Exercise Support Subject Matter Expert to support Operational Command Training Program (OCTP) directed activities with respect to all Tier 1 and major AFCHQ exercises, joint- operational warfighter exercises, senior-level academics, and senior-level developmental seminars and summits at both CONUS and OCONUS locations

The exercise support SMEs will conduct executive- level training, advise and assist the operational-AFCHQ staffs, at the Director and Division Chief level, during major exercises and contingency operations at both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Identify and institutionalize the "best of breed" capabilities for developing the Air Force's command and control process knowledge, systems applications, and warfighting leadership. Interact with warfighters during major exercises, experiments, war games, tests, senior officer training, and academic courses. Deliver instruction in academic venues (i.e., lecture, seminar, and practicum) as well as over-the-shoulder during dynamic exercise environments. Provide peer-level advice, assistance, training, and performance feedback to warfighting professionals, enhancing their leadership and command and control skills at the operational level of war. Exercise support for each exercise typically consists of several planning conferences, (~ 5TDY days each), several planning activities (~10 TDY days each), and an exercise execution period (~14 TDY days).

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$135,000.00. The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be a qualified Air Defense/Joint Fires SME who has successful completion of a military command tour at squadron level or above. Minimum two years of experience as AOC Director, Division Chief, or AOC Commander/Vice Commander, performing leadership duties during minimum five exercises or real-world contingencies.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in comprehensive AOC operations, ATO Cycle, Air Defense, Joint Targeting Cycle, Non-Kinetic Targeting, and Joint Fires. Working knowledge of requisite C2CORE Air, Maven Smart System, and Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) applications pertinent to job performance. verbal communications skills and the ability to proactively identify and complete projects, products, and taskers on time and to the highest standards.

• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a professional, high-paced, and highly productive team. Ability to interact, mentor, and coordinate with senior level air component officers. Ability to gain and maintain TS/SCI clearance and Special Access Programs access. Cross-functional experience (i.e., service component and/or JTF/combatant command staff principal) highly desired.

• Knowledge and application of exercise development, training management, and Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) based training objectives.

• Successful candidate must be willing to travel more than 100 days per year and work 12-hour shifts when TDY, to include weekends

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as Combat Plans Division Chief, performing leadership duties during minimum five exercises or real-world contingencies.

• Minimum three (3) years' experience on an AFCHQ AOC or AFFOR Staff in a leadership capacity, preferably as Division Chief or Director.

• Experienced in AFCHQ AOC and AFFOR operations at the operational level of warfare.

• Successful completion of military command tour at squadron level or above.

• Practical experience executing the joint planning process and actively participated in at least 2 planning events.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in strategy development and operational assessment activities.

• Working knowledge of requisite Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) applications pertinent to job performance.

• Strong working knowledge and application of joint and USAF doctrine, to include USAF service and functional component roles and relationships. Comprehensive knowledge of

TET responsibilities, including development of Joint Integrated Prioritized Target List (JIPTL).

• Comprehensive knowledge of MAAP team responsibilities, including development of comprehensive Air Battle Plan.

• Demonstrated superior written and verbal communications skills.

• Certified USAF instructor, or equivalent.

• Specialized C2 training (i.e., C2WAC, SAAS, SAMS, SAWS, JSSC, etc.) and cross-functional experience (i.e., service component and/or JTF/combatant command ops/plans staff principal) highly desired.

• Knowledge and application of exercise development, training management, and Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) based training objectives.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college
