Position Overview Overview: Garrett Group is seeking an experienced Adversary Exercise Intelligence Planner to support advanced planning, analysis, and execution of deterrence and global strike-related exercises. This role requires deep expertise in adversary capabilities, strategic intent, and TTPs, with a focus on applying intelligence to USSTRATCOM's Unified Command Plan (UCP) missions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather, review, and analyze all-source intelligence, open-source information, diplomatic reporting, and intelligence community products to inform exercise design and execution.
• Develop adversary threat presentations, scenarios, and intelligence injects aligned with USSTRATCOM mission requirements.
• Assess adversary capabilities, strategy, policy, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to inform planning assumptions and exercise realism.
• Integrate intelligence into exercise planning constructs, including strategic deterrence, global strike, and electromagnetic spectrum-related activities.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on adversary decision-making, threat posture, and escalation dynamics.
• Coordinate with CCMDs, Joint Staff, Services, and MAJCOMs to ensure intelligence consistency across exercise design and execution.
• Support threat-based analysis contributing to nuclear operations, NC3 enterprise considerations, global strike planning, missile threat evaluation, and targeting analysis.
• Maintain current awareness of global strategic conditions to enhance exercise realism and senior leader decision-support processes.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of experience conducting all-source intelligence analysis, including review of IC products, open-source reporting, and diplomatic cables.
• Demonstrated expertise in adversary strategy, capabilities, policy, and TTPs relevant to strategic deterrence and global strike operations.
• Intelligence training and operational experience supporting one or more USSTRATCOM UCP missions, including:
- Strategic Deterrence
- Nuclear Operations
- Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Operations
- Global Strike
- Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO)
- Global Strike & Missile Threat Assessment
• Prior experience at a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Staff, Service Headquarters, or Major Command (MAJCOM).
• Ability to synthesize complex intelligence into actionable exercise inputs and decision-support products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary planning teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting strategic-level exercises, war games, or operational planning teams.
• Familiarity with USSTRATCOM processes, battle rhythm, and senior leader decision-making cycles.
• Understanding of integrated deterrence concepts and cross-domain threats.
