Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing personnel equipment and/or facilities for routine training activities; preparing reports and briefings for senior leadership; conducting inspections of liquid-fueled guided missiles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

- Reviews emergency contingency preparedness plans for federal, state and local governments.
- Resolves operational and safety issues during THAAD missile operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Serves as the operations specialist for the missile program.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
- This position is Mission Essential and subject to on-call and irregular work hours. Position supports delivery of critical assets to the Joint Warfighter in support of the Army globally. Ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS is critical.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain license to operate a motor vehicle, crane (up to 30,000 pounds), forklift (up to 15,000 pounds), and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) related material handling equipment (MHE).
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsements.
- This position requires the incumbent to comply with the Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP), governed by AR 600-85, subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- Applicants selected will be required to sign a DA 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully meet and maintain the requirements of the Physical Security of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives IAW AR-190-11.
- This position requires incumbent to complete a DA Form 7708, Personnel Reliability Screening and Evaluation Form per AR 190-13
- This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations.
- This position requires up to 50% or greater travel CONUS and OCONUS to escort the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missiles.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a government issued Credit Card for deployment/TDY travel expenses
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain an official Government Passport for OCONUS deployment/TDY travel.
