ASRC Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a qualified for a Software Developer Senior (Appian Developer) position in support of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Army Software & Innovation Center (ASIC) under the CECOM SEC Centerwide SETA program. The Software Developer will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced Appian-based solutions in support of the FASOR project. The position provides technical leadership within the Digital Solutions Division and ensures delivery of secure, scalable, and sustainable applications that meet Army readiness and cybersecurity compliance objectives.

ASRC Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a qualified for a Software Developer Senior (Appian Developer) position in support of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Army Software & Innovation Center (ASIC) under the CECOM SEC Centerwide SETA program. The Software Developer will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced Appian-based solutions in support of the FASOR project. The position provides technical leadership within the Digital Solutions Division and ensures delivery of secure, scalable, and sustainable applications that meet Army readiness and cybersecurity compliance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement advanced Appian applications, interfaces, and integrations in support of FASOR requirements.
- Lead code reviews and enforce Appian coding standards, DoD secure coding practices, and configuration management discipline.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across Appian and integrated Army systems.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate Appian developers.
- Support integration, deployment, and sustainment of Appian solutions across Army enterprise and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with Government stakeholders, functional analysts, and end users to translate business requirements into automated Appian workflows.
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies, structure, and tooling IAW PWS paragraph 3.1.7.3, Agile Workforce Personnel Qualifications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation in support of applicable CDRL deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or 4 additional years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum five (5) years within the last eight (8) years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining software for a variety of engineering applications; working with analysts to understand analytic and interface requirements; developing tools and interfaces; setting operational specifications; and formulating and analyzing software requirements.
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on Appian development experience, including process models, interfaces, records, integrations, and application deployment in a production environment.
- Demonstrated application of DoD database and code security requirements.
- Federal Investigative Standard: Tier 3.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active or interim DoD SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer.
- Prior software development experience supporting the Department of Defense or U.S. Army, preferably within CECOM SEC or ASIC.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure Government) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Security+ CE or other DoD 8570.01-M / DoDD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD tooling such as GitLab or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), eMASS, and STIG compliance activities.
- Minimum active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract.
Clearance and Cybersecurity Requirements
- This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active or interim DoD SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one. Personnel performing technical analysis of systems with privileged access shall meet IA Technical Level II requirements per DoDD 8140.01 and the requirements of AR 25-2 for privileged access to systems.
- Candidates with an active or interim SECRET clearance are strongly preferred; however, candidates without an active clearance may be considered, provided they are eligible and able to successfully obtain a SECRET clearance upon hire.
