Senior Application Developer – Foundational Services

We are hiring a Senior Application Developer to provide technical expertise supporting foundational application services and mission-focused systems. In addition to hands-on full-stack development, this role offers the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert, troubleshoot complex application issues, and mentor mid-level developers.

This position is well suited for a senior developer who combines strong technical depth with the ability to guide other developers and navigate complex application and data environments.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert supporting foundational application services.
• Perform hands-on full-stack application development.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level developers.
• Troubleshoot complex application and system issues.
• Analyze server logs, application logs, and console output to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Support classification and need-to-know handling requirements.
• Work with cross-domain transfer processes.
• Develop and support applications using modern web, backend, database, and container technologies.
• Support secure environments requiring occasional SCIF access.

What You'll Bring

• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Redis.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• A CI Polygraph is preferred, with candidates who currently hold a polygraph receiving priority.
• Strong candidates with an active TS/SCI but without a CI Polygraph may still be considered based on their technical qualifications.

Work Location

This is a hybrid position in Washington, DC with SCIF support as needed.
