This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, document, and maintain software applications.
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate end-user and business requirements.
- Write, compile, and maintain high-quality code based on documented design specifications.
- Develop and manage database objects and application architecture components.
- Analyze software compatibility, security requirements, and system integration needs.
- Modify, enhance, and upgrade applications to ensure ongoing functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and architecture-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Support Linux platform migration initiatives and application modernization efforts.
- Work with software systems developed in C/C++ that process precision data and real-time communications.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong programming experience with:
- C
- C++
- Python
- Qt Framework
- Proficiency with:
- Git
- TCP/UDP Networking
- tcpdump
- Strong experience with Red Hat Linux.
- Experience performing Linux platform migrations and system integration activities.
- Experience working in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with application porting, system troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
- PhD with relevant professional experience, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 9+ years of related professional experience in lieu of a degree).
