We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Chandler, AZ, to support aerospace and defense manufacturing, production operations, tooling development, process optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement. Manufacturing Engineer

We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Chandler, AZ, to support aerospace and defense manufacturing, production operations, tooling development, process optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement. This role supports manufacturing engineering activities including Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, root cause analysis, DOE, process documentation, engineering studies, production readiness, tooling, and cross-functional production support.
Responsibilities:
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles within production cells.
- Partner with production personnel to identify manufacturing issues, improve processes, and correct process documentation.
- Modify, edit, and maintain manufacturing procedures and execute required document change activities.
- Generate purchase and fabrication requests for production tooling and equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing and production process data.
- Generate and manage engineering work orders.
- Assist with the design and implementation of production tooling and process improvement projects.
- Support PFMEA, process hazard analysis, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and other manufacturing engineering analyses.
- Execute and summarize engineering studies and experiments, including engineering and pre-production builds.
- Support production readiness reviews, project kickoffs, and Sales Order Kickoff (SOKO) activities.
- Verify tooling readiness, calibration status, and manufacturing documentation to support production requirements.
- Maintain manufacturing parameter databases and ensure production requirements are accurately incorporated into manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Program Management, Planning, Document Control, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Capture production knowledge from experienced personnel and incorporate it into manufacturing procedures, standard work, and training materials.
- Support manufacturing automation initiatives through process analysis, data collection, and coordination with automation engineering resources.
- Provide manufacturing engineering and production support to areas without dedicated Manufacturing Engineering resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of related manufacturing, engineering, or production support experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, PFMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
