Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain personnel security files in accordance with established retention policies, to include accurate and up-to-date clearance documentation and records in designated systems.
- Support the enforcement of personnel security (PERSEC) policies, ensuring alignment with Federal, DoD, and organizational requirements.
- Supports the PERSEC Branch by processing packages for in-bound personnel; initiating and processing to completion eApp actions background investigation actions; preparing personnel files/folders; processing forms; verifying clearances; indoctrinating personnel for both collateral, SCI, and other compartmented accesses (including NATO); debriefing personnel when access is no longer required, running Defense Information Security System (DISS) queries, and entering information into clearance systems of record.
- Processes visit requests, clearance validation notifications, and transfer-in-status requests. Prepares forms, draft correspondences and update systems and databases used for facilitating and documenting visit requests.
- Processes security forms and clearance validation requests submitted to JSSO needed for requesting/granting access to classified spaces, and/or courier badges.
- Assist with initiating, reviewing, and tracking clearance applications and status in compliance with applicable regulations. Assist with Continuous Vetting and adjudications as required.
- Provide customer support by responding to email, in-person and/or telephone inquiries related to PERSEC matters, providing clear and accurate guidance.
- Processes forms for Joint Staff employees in-processing, out-processing, building and room accesses, and foreign contact/travel reporting and other administrative actions necessary to complete in/out processing.
- This position is on-site at The Pentagon.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a respective field of expertise.
- TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Personnel Security Programs and skills to meet mission requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail with customer service.
- Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
Desired Experience:
- BA or BS Degree preferred.
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and eAPP portal.
- Working in or with Department of War organizations.
