- Support attorneys and investigators with financial, healthcare, forensic accounting, and data analysis for civil fraud cases.
- Review and analyze financial records, healthcare claims, billing data, contracts, invoices, grants, tax records, bank records, and other supporting documents.
- Analyze Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, and other government healthcare program claims.
- Conduct financial tracing, asset searches, ability-to-pay reviews, and forensic accounting analyses.
- Calculate damages, penalties, restitution amounts, and other financial impacts related to False Claims Act cases.
- Analyze large financial and healthcare datasets using audit, statistical, and data visualization tools.
- Research assets, financial information, and other evidence using databases and public records.
- Organize and manage electronic and paper evidence throughout investigations and litigation.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, summaries, charts, timelines, and other materials for investigations, settlement discussions, depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Assist with witness interviews, depositions, trial preparation, and exhibit management.
- Attend meetings, interviews, depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
- Work closely with attorneys, investigators, and agency personnel to identify potential fraud and regulatory violations.
- Prepare interim and final reports summarizing findings and supporting case development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, data analytics, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of professional experience involving accounting, auditing, healthcare claims analysis, forensic accounting, financial investigations, statistical analysis, or related analytical work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certification
