About the Role
Supporting the G1's personnel readiness mission, you'll ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and civilian pay policy compliance for the USARCENT civilian workforce.
What You'll Do
- Process and review civilian payroll transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable pay regulations.
- Research and resolve civilian pay discrepancies, coordinating with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and HR as needed.
- Maintain civilian pay records and supporting documentation.
- Advise civilian employees and supervisors on pay-related policy questions.
- Support periodic pay audits and internal control reviews.
What You'll Need
- Prior experience in DoD or federal civilian payroll/pay administration.
- Familiarity with DFAS civilian pay systems and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy under recurring deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to complete a favorable background investigation appropriate to the position within the first week of starting, and obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) within the first two weeks.
- Must complete required security, anti-terrorism, and information assurance training within the first 30 days, and annually thereafter.
- If the position requires a security clearance, must complete annual threat-awareness and operations-security refresher training.
- Professional appearance and conduct consistent with a military headquarters environment.
- No travel required for this position.
