Position Responsibilities In this role, the candidate will serve as a Network Systems Engineer (SE). As a Networks SE, the Networks SE shall act as the SE Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the NES ART and will develop and implement the Network Systems Engineering Plan and advise on all systems engineering-related issues. The Networks SE will act as the liaison between the Networks ART and the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Resource Managed Area (RMA), ensuring that all processes and procedures are aligned and standardized. Candidate will lead all Network requirements activities, including the identification and management of the Network requirements baseline. Candidate will develop and maintain the Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM) and system/sub-system requirements allocation to ensure traceability of requirements from development through deployment, and manage the Network requirements sell-off plan. Candidate will act as the systems engineering interface/liaison between NES ART and the C2BMC SEIT team to ensure consistency in system engineering principles and practices. Candidate will support systems engineering and architecture meetings, both internal to the National Team and with the government customer.  Candidate will support the development and review of system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.) and author/perform formal and informal engineering reviews as required. Candidate will be responsible for development of interface documentation, development of diagrams, system modeling efforts, and architectural documentation. Candidate will implement standards and patterns across the ART to support quality and consistency of deliverables. Candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Networks Systems Engineering model. Candidate will be responsible for developing high-level design material to be incorporated into existing baselined Missile Defense System Communication Network Implementation Specification (MCNIS). Candidate will support proposal efforts, including developing technical approaches to meet requirements and leading the generation of engineering estimates. Candidate will provide mentoring to team members to standardize systems engineering processes and procedures across Networks ART. Candidate will adhere to DOORS processes and procedures, review the content and details of technical products, and act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis. Candidate will interface with internal team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within available resources. Candidate must be willing and able to assist with real-world events, including nights and weekends. 

Basic Qualifications Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen and have/maintain a valid US passport. In-depth understanding of systems engineering process and principles. Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions. Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions. Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).  Candidates should have experience with developing large, complex systems. Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools  

Preferred Qualifications: Prior C2BMC experience; experience working within an Agile development environment; domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense; experience with Systems Analysis, Model-Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles. Demonstrated experience working in large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development. Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies and/or Design Evaluations. Experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems
