Lead Contract Advisor

Duties

• Advises the brigade and its functional organizations on matters relating to the implementation and utilization of acquisition policies and procedures.
• Prepares acquisition briefings covering the full spectrum of organizational and contracting topics for presentation to higher authorities.
• Reviews Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs),and Evaluation Criteria for proposed acquisitions.
• Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques.
• Provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
• Ensures acquisition packages are accurate, complete, and contain all required supporting documentation.

• This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 10% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance with T3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk Investigation.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by preparing acquisition packages for a variety of products and services; developing contract language to ensure customer requirements are met; analyzing acquisition requirements to identify potential issues and recommending corrective actions/solutions; and assisting in the development of acquisition plans/strategies for equipment, supplies, and/or services.
