Job Description
MTSI is seeking a Joint Operations Scheduler to support a key joint development program. The Joint Operations Scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining, reporting, and managing a comprehensive program schedule that captures planning and execution progress. The scheduler will develop timelines, identify resource conflicts, monitor progress, perform critical path analysis, and support multi-service experimentation planning, resourcing, and execution.

The pay range for this position in is $150,000/year to $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Responsibilities
- Capture planning details in the scheduling tool, including tasks, activities, deliverables, timelines, event-level requirements, and levels of effort.
- Ensure schedule structure aligns with government and industry best practices (GAO-16-89G, Schedule Assessment Guide).
- Engage with engineering, operations, logistics, and service stakeholders to collect planning data and maintain situational awareness across product development, capability deployment, and joint experimentation activities.
- Coordinate information across geographically dispersed teams to maintain synchronization.
- Identify and schedule resources to ensure balanced capacity and minimize conflicts across development, deployment, experimentation, and joint exercises.
- Identify required systems, equipment, cloud/on-prem resources, networks, and infrastructure needed to support experimentation, and integrate them into the IMS.
- Identify and report cost and schedule risks; propose mitigation strategies beyond simple schedule adjustments.
- Develop, integrate, and manage scheduling activities that comply with program or product requirements.
- Perform schedule updates, recovery planning, and "what-if" analysis for development, deployment, and event execution.
- Monitor execution toward milestones, technical readiness criteria, integration timelines, and key events.
- Develop schedules that effectively communicate across all levels of the project team and leadership.
- Support data collection and timeline interpretation for leadership briefs and program reviews.
- Conduct critical path, schedule slack, and predecessor/successor analyses
- Perform Schedule Risk Assessments.
- Develop schedule metrics aligned with the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RTVM) and recommend updates to improve program monitoring and reporting.
Required Experience
- 18+ years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience providing program management services within a PMO.
- 3+ years of experience developing schedules within project management services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, JIRA, and related scheduling tools.
- Experience developing and applying Work Breakdown Structures (level 4).
- Experience developing and managing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Ability to learn and apply technical concepts, including integration environments and cloud/on-prem resources.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, data-mining, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to coordinate across military, government civilian, and contractor personnel.
Desired Experience
- Prior military or government experience in joint planning or technical operations.
- Experience supporting or employing JFN, CJADC2, or other advanced joint C2/fires systems.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, operations research, national security studies, or a related field.
Work Schedule
- Ability to work within JMIE PM schedule requirements; schedule varies based on task criticality.
- Ability to perform onsite work in secure facilities at least 75% of the time.
