Job Description

As a Intelligence Analyst, you'll support Agile teams to help gather requirements, ensure delivery meets required needs, and ensure work will be accepted without any major issues. Mission Data will serve as the resident all-source mission SME on a DoD Intelligence Community data-modernization effort, representing how analysts produce, publish, discover, and use classified mission data. They will work hands-on with the datasets moving across the program - intelligence reporting, imagery-derived products, track and observation data, and technical collections - to validate that discovery, search, and access capabilities work the way real analysts do. They will partner with stakeholders across combatant commands, service intelligence centers, and combat support agencies to translate analyst needs into program requirements.

We know that you can't have great technology services without amazing people. At MetroStar, we are obsessed withour people and have led a two-decade legacy of building the best and brightest teams. Because we know our future relies on our deep understanding and relentless focus on our people, we live by our mission: A passion for our people. Value for our customers.

If you think you can see yourself delivering our mission and pursuing our goals with us, then check out the job description below!

What you'll do:
  • Serve as the resident all-source mission SME on a data-modernization program, representing producer and consumer workflows in requirements, design, demonstration, and test.
  • Be accountable for day-to-day analytic validation of program capabilities; works directly with representative mission datasets - intelligence reporting, imagery-derived products, track/observation data, technical collections, and mission-support data -defining how each is discovered, evaluated, trusted, and used by analysts.
  • Be fluent in the program's data holdings and knowledgeable about all major initiatives, issues, and strategic goals.
  • Validate AI-enabled discovery and semantic search against real analytic workflows; authors analyst-realistic evaluation scenarios and documents where results would mislead or omit.
  • Advise on content/discovery metadata and tagging vocabularies (IC-ISM and related IC metadata standards), specifying what an analyst needs to find a dataset and to trust it.
  • Serve as a liaison between program leadership and mission stakeholders by relaying analyst feedback, escalating concerns, and collaborating on resolutions.
  • Meet regularly with combatant command J2, service intelligence center, and combat support agency counterparts to ensure a consistent and productive engagement, and initiates feedback sessions.
  • Fuse multi-discipline intelligence into coherent mission narratives for demonstrations and stakeholder engagements.
  • Identifiy data and intelligence gaps and recommends which datasets, producers, and partners to onboard next.
  • Produce metrics views and executive briefings on data consumption and mission impact to ICD 203 standards.
  • Translate analyst feedback into actionable backlog items and partner with technical leads and solution architects on resolutions.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 8+ years of all-source intelligence analysis experience at a national-level intelligence agency, combatant command J2, or service intelligence center.
  • Demonstrated experience as both a producer and a consumer of classified mission data in an analyst role - has published reporting or datasets for enterprise dissemination, and has discovered and exploited holdings produced by other organizations in their own analysis.
  • Sustained hands-on experience querying, filtering, structuring, and evaluating classified mission datasets in JWICS/DODIIS-type environments, not solely consuming finished products.
  • Experience working across the major mission data types: intelligence message traffic, imagery-derived products, track and observation data, technical collections, and mission-support datasets.
  • Working knowledge of IC data marking and metadata practices, including IC-ISM classification markings and enterprise data-header concepts.
  • Strong understanding of ICD 203 analytic standards, with demonstrated finished-intelligence writing and briefing.
  • Proficiency with IC tools and databases, such as DCGS-family tools, enterprise message retrieval, and entity/link-analysis tools (Palantir or comparable).
  • Ability to author analyst-realistic evaluation scenarios and validate AI-enabled discovery and search results against real analytic workflows.
  • Ability to translate analyst needs into metadata, tagging, and discovery requirements - provenance, confidence, currency, and origin.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including analyst-to-analyst engagement with combatant command, service intelligence center, and combat support agency counterparts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive briefings and metrics narratives.
  • Active TS/SCI at time of hire; willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
