Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide coordination between military service validators and the AFCENT Air Mobility Division (AMD) to support validated high-priority or short lead-time airlift requirements, ensuring timely mission support.
Coordinate with the AMD and the 618th AOC to resolve inter to intra-theater airlift execution issues during operations.
Develop and maintain a monthly intra-theater airlift channel schedule to ensure effective and efficient use of available regional air mobility assets.
Analyze historical usage data and projected user requirements to optimize utilization of both intra-theater and inter-theater airlift capabilities.
Notify the CENTCOM Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (CDDOC) Chief and AMD leadership when anticipated airlift requirements are projected to exceed available resources.
Participate in transportation and distribution working groups and operational planning teams (OPTs) to support integrated logistics planning at the theater level.
Provide recommendations on airlift-related policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of theater air mobility operations.
Maintain continuous liaison with Air Mobility Command (AMC), TACC, AMD, aerial ports, Defense Attaché Offices (DAOs), and service validators to collaboratively address and resolve operational airlift issues.
Utilize the following transportation and planning systems to monitor and manage theater deployment and distribution operations: Joint Planning and Integrated Global Transportation Convergence (IGC), and Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV).
Monitor, assess, and communicate changes to theater deployment and distribution priorities to maintain situational awareness and ensure operational responsiveness.
Assess Operation Plan (OPLAN) requirements and taskings to forecast inter- and intra-theater movement demands in alignment with strategic force flow timelines.
Identify planning shortfalls and data discrepancies within JOPES and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate organizations to ensure accuracy and completeness of deployment data.
Coordinate all movement tracking, deconfliction, and in-transit visibility activities from inter-theater arrival through intra-theater handoff to current operations teams.
Interface daily with strategic and theater-level organizations to synchronize force flow timelines, planning efforts, and exercise execution across both inter- and intra-theater domains.
Monitor and prepare operational updates and situational awareness summaries based on relevant newsgroup message traffic within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Track and assess key inter- and intra-theater airlift requirements and capabilities to identify potential imbalances or operational risks.
Provide visibility of strategic force and cargo flow to operational planners and leadership to enhance decision-making and resource management.
Interface with strategic and theater organizations to identify, resolve, and coordinate JOPES-related issues in support of joint deployment operations.
Monitor and manage inter and intra-theater TPFDD force flow requirements, proactively identifying issues and recommending corrective actions to maintain deployment timelines.
Validate all intra-theater air and surface movement requirements for joint and coalition exercises to ensure accurate execution and reporting.
Facilitates and processes Theater Clearance Request (TCRs) and commodity movement coordination for military official parties and equipment movement to the USCENTCOM AOR.
Responsible to track theater clearances and travel coordination for military and civilian official travel into and out of the AOR.
Coordinates TCRs with subordinate commands and components in the AOR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Proficient in the use of the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), including manipulation and interpretation of Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD), to support operational planning and execution functions.
- In the last five years, must have experience with the Intra-Theater Airlift Request System (ITARS); Joint Planning and Execution System (JOPES) (or the program or record system); Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES); Single Mobility System (SMS); and Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS).
- IAT Level I Professional Certification
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools; brief materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Work independently with minimal oversight; provide thorough and completed products.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.
CLEARANCE
· Active DoW TS/SCI.
