The role involves maintaining and enhancing current application capabilities, identifying future needs, and eliminating overlaps. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware, with expert knowledge of system administration interdependencies as part of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The position supports intelligence analysis and collection management for intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, security, OS installation, and other local area system administration functions.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Participate in developing and delivering training as requested to support applications.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and correctness; witness testing requirements; present IV&V results; troubleshoot technical problems; and recommend improvements to overall quality.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution processes.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Install/load operating system and application software.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or combinations thereof.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components; implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including transition and migration of corporate systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT) / IA Management (IAM) Level 2.
- Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA Risk Management Framework.
- Understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or information management and twelve years of comparable work experience.
- Up to ten or more years of program/application operations experience.
- Experience in the Intelligence Community.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
- Strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
Required Education and Experience Equivalency
- High School Diploma/ GED with 16 years of experience.
- Associates Degree with 14 years of experience.
- Bachelors' Degree with 12 years of experience.
- Masters' Degree with 10 years of experience.
- PhD with 8 years of experience.
Required Certifications
- DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT) / IA Management (IAM) Level 2
Required Security Clearance
- Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph
