Job Description
SABG is seeking a Senior Weapon System Acquisition staff member to support the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, VA.
JOB TITLE: Senior Weapon System Acquisition SME
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI
LOCATION:Arlington, VA
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Evaluates space vehicle design, ground control segments, launch capabilities, and integration with joint warfighting functions.
Prepare and deliver executive level briefings, reports, and summary papers; explain complex concepts in relatively simple language; summarize key decisions; and provide recommendations supported by analysis.
• Assist in answering Congressional Reporting Requirements and assist with responding to Congressional Staffer action items regarding oversight of space S&T efforts.
• Provide coordinating support to other SAF/SQ Directorates and Divisions, particularly assistance in supporting Original Classification Authority actions on new technology.
• Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.
SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required experience and qualifications include but are not limited to:
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's Degree and 15 - 20 years of relevant work experience in DoD and/or DAF policy, strategy, military operations, national security activities, space operations and/or space acquisition/integration.
• Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly adjust to changing work environments while maintaining high levels of performance and support.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.

SALARY RANGE: $165,000 - $175,000
Compensation at SABG is determined based on factors such as the role's requirements, education, certifications, skills, experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Final compensation is based on the specific qualifications and circumstances of each candidate.
