We are hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to support Undersea Maritime Systems, with a focus on systems engineering, requirements management, system and subsystem verification, qualification, and test. This role supports the development of electrical and optical systems, requirements allocation and decomposition, system security documentation, and technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC) while ensuring designs meet applicable government and DoD security specifications.

Senior Systems Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to support Undersea Maritime Systems, with a focus on systems engineering, requirements management, system and subsystem verification, qualification, and test. This role supports the development of electrical and optical systems, requirements allocation and decomposition, system security documentation, and technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC) while ensuring designs meet applicable government and DoD security specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support test programs to verify system and subsystem requirements for undersea maritime systems.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses throughout the system development life cycle.
- Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure compliance with applicable government security specifications.
- Develop system security documentation and provide system accreditation, certification, evaluation, and test support.
- Generate technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle.
- Support the design and qualification of electrical and optical systems.
- Perform electrical and optical system design activities, including requirements allocation and decomposition.
- Manage requirements throughout the requirements life cycle and support system-level verification and validation.
- Contribute to engineering frameworks, processes, and technical approaches used across multiple products or systems.
- Support new product development and transition to manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience applying systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
- Experience supporting system and subsystem requirements, verification, qualification, and testing.
- Understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
- Experience developing and evaluating systems, networks, or information systems against applicable government security requirements.
- Experience supporting technical engineering activities throughout the system development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical system design and qualification.
- Experience with optical system design and qualification.
- Experience with electrical and optical requirements allocation and decomposition.
- Experience with requirements lifecycle management.
- Experience with new product development and transition to manufacturing.
