The Director of Test Calibration and Equipment Maintenance is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and readiness of all test and manufacturing equipment across the Raytheon Sensors Portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Sensor Operations, the Director will oversee a team of engineers, support staff and technicians to execute equipment maintenance strategies, establish calibration standards, and drive continuous operational excellence. This role is pivotal to maintaining the high performance and quality standards required to deliver on Raytheon's mission.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

What You Will Do
- Lead and manage the overall strategy for test equipment calibration and maintenance across the Sensors Portfolio.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure equipment performance aligns with program requirements.
- Drive innovation in calibration processes and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Manage the budget and resource allocation for calibration labs and maintenance activities.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of technicians, engineers, and managers.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in all calibration and maintenance operations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership regarding equipment readiness and operational metrics.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years' experience.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Test Equipment Calibration, Maintenance, Engineering, and / or Operations.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of government and defense industry standards, including MIL-STD and FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Strong knowledge of calibration standards, measurement science, and test methodologies.
- Experience managing large teams and complex technical operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Active Secret or the ability to obtain one
