Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff professional to provide high-level oversight of Special Program Accounting and Finance activities. This role serves as a senior Accounting and Finance (AFO) support function, leading accounting teams, ensuring compliance with government financial requirements, and improving enterprise accounting processes across highly sensitive programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep government accounting expertise, strong analytical capability, and the ability to manage complex, multi-system financial environments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Manage a team of accountants supporting AFO through leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance.
• Conduct training for personnel with varying levels of accounting knowledge and experience.
• Reconcile General Ledger Summary to detail journals within accounting systems and across interfacing systems from partner organizations.
• Translate accounting requirements into accounting system functionality, assist users through Tier II support, and identify potential new system requirements
• Communicate with multiple organizations and users to translate accounting information requirements into actionable Ad Hoc reports using Business Analytics.
• Track and correct outstanding or problem transactions through detailed research across multiple accounting systems and deep government accounting expertise.
• Reconcile reimbursable programs within the DAF and partner organizations.
• Assist with preparation, review, and reconciliation of Forms 7113, 1219/1220, and 7801.
• Drive completion of the Tri-Annual Review process through identification, analysis, and correction of open items.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in government accounting and finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Business Case Analytics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Momentum or similar ERP Systems.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience leading and supporting similar-sized projects and similarly complex contracts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and interact with diverse DoW, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
• Ability to go onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with SAP Eligibility to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
