Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff professional to provide oversight, analysis, recommendations, and strategic execution for CFO Act Compliance and Financial Improvement initiatives supporting DAF Special Access Programs (SAPs). This role requires deep expertise in DoW financial management, audit readiness, and enterprise financial controls, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional activities across acquisition, logistics, and financial reporting domains.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide senior oversight of the Audit Readiness program.

• Document business process internal controls.

• Conduct substantive and analytical procedures supporting financial improvement.

• Support logistics-related financial audit activities.

• Lead implementation of asset accountability practices.

• Develop asset accountability implementation strategies.

• Oversee asset valuation, tracking, and documentation efforts.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.

• Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by senior leaders.

• Extract budget and program data from accounting records, forms, and reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an accounting-related field OR 5 additional years of professional experience in the accounting field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience with DoW financial statements.

• Minimum 4 years of leading project experience supporting CFO Act compliance efforts, including coordination across acquisition, logistics, financial reporting, and related functional areas in a similar-sized enterprise.

• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• In-depth knowledge of GAO Yellowbook requirements.

• In-depth knowledge of The Department of Defense's Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR).

• Working knowledge of ICOFR (Internal Control Over Financial Reporting).

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

• Ability to go onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC

• Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance with SAP Eligibility to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)

• Willingness to travel up to 25%

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • SAF/FM Experience.

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
