The ideal candidate is a structured thinker, strong facilitator, and exceptional documenter who can operate effectively in ambiguity. This is a business and product operations role focused on discovery, analysis, documentation, backlog readiness, and cross-functional alignment; it is not a technical engineering or software development position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Discovery, Current-State Assessment, and Stakeholder Alignment
- Facilitate discovery sessions: Partner with clinical, R&D, operational, product, and technology stakeholders to elicit needs, clarify objectives, and document current-state capabilities and workflows.
- Translate ambiguity into structure: Convert high-level business concepts, early-stage platform goals, and stakeholder input into clear business needs, process definitions, and decision points.
- Assess legacy processes and systems: Capture how existing tools, workflows, data sources, and manual processes operate today to identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and future-state opportunities.
- Develop requirements documentation: Author clear and complete business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and related product documentation.
- Map integration touchpoints: Document business-level data flows, system interactions, handoffs, and integration needs across clinical platforms and enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, data marketplaces, and related technology ecosystems.
- Create process and workflow artifacts: Produce process maps, workflow diagrams, data-use logic tables, traceability artifacts, and other visual documentation needed to align business and technical stakeholders.
- Prepare backlog items for delivery: Translate approved requirements into well-structured Jira backlog items that are sufficiently detailed for grooming, estimation, and technical handoff.
- Support governance and milestone reviews: Develop and maintain requirements traceability, business rule logs, decision logs, data definitions, and supporting artifacts required for formal review processes and executive milestone gates.
- Maintain documentation discipline: Ensure requirements, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and open questions are captured, organized, versioned, and accessible in collaboration tools such as Confluence.
Ideal candidates should have experience in business analysis, digital product operations, healthcare or MedTech environments, requirements documentation, Jira/Confluence, and working across business, clinical, product, and technology stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in contract, consulting, or project-based roles requiring rapid ramp-up and independent execution.
- Experience supporting digital product, data platform, clinical, healthcare, MedTech, medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to document requirements for data-heavy products, analytics platforms, workflow tools, enterprise integrations, or complex operational systems.
- Familiarity with regulated environment considerations such as GxP, HIPAA, SaMD, privacy, validation, compliance, or quality system constraints is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convert complex stakeholder discussions into concise, structured, and unambiguous documentation.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, including comfort working across business, clinical, operations, product, and technology teams.
- Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and process-mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, surface risks and dependencies, and drive clarity in ambiguous or evolving environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect business processes, data flows, user needs, and system capabilities into coherent future-state requirements.
