Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Attleboro, MA
Pay: $25-$35/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with OT available
Duration: Permanent position with full benefits

About the Company

We are an established manufacturing company specializing in precision metal finishing and surface treatment services for industrial and commercial customers. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to keep our production equipment and facility operating safely and efficiently.

Job Summary

Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structure, pipe and electrical systems, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring and testing instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the production facility.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance of equipment associated with daily facility operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and facility issues.
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain facility infrastructure, including bathrooms, office spaces, and exterior areas.
  • Safely operate a forklift and use hand and power tools.
  • Perform custodial duties as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • Electrical: Knowledge of single-phase, three-phase, and DC electrical systems.
  • Electric Motors: Experience with single-phase and three-phase electric motors.
  • Pumps: Experience with air and electric pumps.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Ability to read electrical schematics, use multimeters, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Plumbing: Knowledge of plumbing systems, including PVC, steel, and copper.
  • Welding & Fabrication: Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Facility Maintenance: Experience with repairs and maintenance of infrastructure, bathrooms, office spaces, and exterior areas.
  • Rectifiers: Knowledge of rectifiers is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position.
