Construction Materials Technician I-San Antonio, TX
Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | Overtime Available
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Construction Materials Technician I to join one of our growing clients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction materials testing, field inspections, or laboratory testing who are looking to build a long-term career with a respected organization.
Responsibilities
• Perform field and laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials.
• Conduct soil, concrete, asphalt, and other material testing in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Communicate with project managers, contractors, and engineers regarding testing schedules and project updates.
• Complete accurate testing and inspection reports daily.
• Safely operate testing equipment and company vehicles while following all safety protocols.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months of construction materials testing or related experience.
• Current industry certification (ACI, NICET, ICC, TXDOT, PTI, or similar) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
