• Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C++) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
• You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.
• You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
• You will utilize either a Windows or Linux based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
Skills Required
• Experience working with software engineering processes
• Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis
• Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems
• Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and DOORS, Git/BitbucketFoundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation
• Experience developing on Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems
• High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. modern C++)
• Experience using scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software
• Proficient with source code control tools
Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline, and 3 plus years of direct related experience Must be a US Citizen Must possess an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance High motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products A genuine desire to learn and innovate Desire to contribute to a results-oriented product development team Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications Strong verbal and written technical communication skills Ability to work well with a diverse team
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline, and 3 plus years of direct related experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of embedded C++ (fulltime) experience - 3 years
