Job Description

Duties

  • Reviews laws, policies, and directives from higher authority to determine impact on operations.
  • Plans and carries out short and long-range projects and studies to identify and resolve problems pertaining to various human resources (HR) program areas.
  • Researches HR laws, policies, regulations and reference material, analyzes information, selects appropriate approach and recommends corrective action.
  • Provides staff level technical advice and assistance to all levels of Cyber Command management officials on complex human resources management issues.
  • Supports strategic force management initiatives by collaborating with USCYBERCOM J1 Manpower and Readiness and other HQ Staff Elements.
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements command-wide civilian programs, plans, and criteria for short- and long-range program accomplishment.
  • Directs the development and publication of quantitative analyses, written reports, regulatory guidance, directives, and procedures which are necessary as instructions or as information to command personnel.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Position requires temporary duty travel (TOY) CON US and OCONUS up to 15% of the time.
  • Subject to a supervisory probationary period, including required leadership training, if not previously completed.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Identifying problems pertaining to human resources programs; providing high quality HR case analysis and research on HR laws, policies, regulations ;drafting policies, regulations, and SOPs; and providing staff level support on complex human resource issues impacting the workforce.

This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.
