Job Description

The HR Generalist provides key human resources support for Equipment Redistribution & Divestiture (ERDS) operations across multiple Army Continuous Transformation (CT) sites, including Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, Fort Carson, and other designated locations. The role supports both CONUS and OCONUS missions, ensuring consistent HR practices and operational compliance. Responsibilities include personnel records management, onboarding, timekeeping, benefits administration, and employee support. The HR Generalist ensures accurate HR documentation, maintains confidentiality, and supports contract and U.S. Army requirements across multiple work locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the hiring process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and new employee orientations.
  • Participate in onboarding and ensure smooth workforce integration for new hires.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and general support.
  • Address employee relations matters, including counseling, conflict resolution, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Conduct factfinding investigations into employee complaints and policy violations, providing recommendations to management.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance administration and leave of absence coordination.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with timekeeping requirements.
  • Assist employees with payroll questions and coordinate resolution with the Payroll department.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards.
  • Ensure HR documentation and processes comply with Army contract requirements, FAR/DFARS labor clauses, labor laws, and EEO guidelines.
  • Support audits, inspections, personnel accountability reporting, and government required documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee training and professional development programs.
  • Coordinate employee development activities, including training sessions and skill building opportunities.
  • Prepare HR forms, reports, personnel action requests (PARs), correspondence, and presentations for HR management.
  • Coordinate meetings and assist with HR communications.
  • Manage timekeeping functions, including PTO, overtime, shift changes, and ensuring DCAA compliant oversight.
  • Perform basic finance related tasks such as reconciliations, expense tracking, and reviewing payroll documentation.
  • Support travel related processes, including per diem requests, reimbursements, and employee travel logistics.
  • Support the HR Manager with daily HR operations, including reporting, addressing inquiries, investigation support, audit readiness, onboarding/offboarding tracking, benefits updates, and policy communication.
  • Work closely with Personnel Assistant III and Personnel Assistant II to ensure consistent workflow across HR activities, including staffing, onboarding, timekeeping, travel, and documentation tasks.
  • Coordinate and track random monthly drug screenings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; Associate's or bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field a plus!
  • 3-5 years of HR or administrative experience (DoD or military contractor experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with DoD or Army HR processes is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, personnel recordkeeping, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment regulatory frameworks, including FLSA, EEO, FMLA, and applicable FAR/DFARS clauses, with the ability to interpret and apply these requirements in daily HR operations.
  • Experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems (Costpoint, Deltek preferred).
  • Experience with finance related duties such as reconciliations, expense tracking, and reviewing payroll documentation.
  • Experience supporting travel processes, per diem guidelines, reimbursements, and travel logistics, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of travel regulations and reimbursement procedures.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, payroll documentation, and employee pay inquiries
  • Strong organizational, data entry, accuracy, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information and follow all company policies while working remotely.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Must have a real ID
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States as required; travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT


Work is performed in a remote, home office environment. The individual must be able to sit for extended periods while conducting virtual meetings, preparing reports, and completing administrative tasks. Reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace that supports confidentiality and productivity are required. This role may involve occasional travel for training, team meetings, or mission support. The individual must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain compliance with company, contract, and U.S. Army standards while performing duties in a remote setting.
