The United States Space Force (USSF) at Eglin AFB, Site C-6, Freeport, FL is searching for a Government SAP Security Officer to support the 20 SPSS (NH-0080-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).

As our primary Security Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our security operations, serving as the key advisor for all specialized security programs, including Special Access Programs (SAP). Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in security management, with demonstrated expertise in developing and managing Collateral, Special Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) security programs. Required experience includes at least one year of successful Security Cooperation (SC) work and in-depth knowledge of SECRET, TOP SECRET (TS), SAP, and SCI security procedures. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and is required to complete the Department of War (DoW) Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Basic-level certification within one year of hiring, followed by 40 hours of continuing education every two years.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
2. Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
3. Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.
4. Knowledge of required TOP SECRET (TS), SAP, and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security procedures.
5. Skill in planning, developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.
6. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI),
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Security Cooperation Foundational Proficiency Level: Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Recruitment/relocation Incentive funding is available may be authorized.
