The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an accomplished Senior Systems Engineer to join our elite team supporting critical operations in Southeast Asia. This non-hostile OCONUS position offers both PCS and TDY assignment options, providing flexibility for the right candidate.
As our Senior Systems Engineer, you'll serve as the principal technical authority responsible for engineering, integrating, and optimizing mission-critical infrastructure that directly enables U.S. Government operations. This role places you at the forefront of technology implementation in a diverse, multinational environment where your technical expertise and cultural awareness will be equally valued.
You'll provide strategic technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure domains-including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and cybersecurity-while mentoring the next generation of engineers and driving measurable improvements in system reliability, security, and operational excellence.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, integrate, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.
- Lead engineering efforts for Windows and Linux server environments.
- Design and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure.
- Engineer storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to increase availability, resiliency, and security.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts involving complex hardware, software, virtualization, storage, and network issues.
- Develop engineering implementation plans, technical documentation, and system diagrams.
- Review existing system architectures and recommend modernization opportunities.
- Support technology refresh initiatives, system upgrades, migrations, and new capability deployments.
- Coordinate engineering activities with Government personnel, vendors, and contractor teammates.
- Participate in engineering reviews, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with cybersecurity requirements and organizational security policies.
- Develop and maintain Visio diagrams, engineering drawings, implementation procedures, and as-built documentation.
- Mentor junior System Administrators and Network Engineers in engineering best practices.
- Provide Tier III technical support for enterprise infrastructure and mission systems.
- Support installation, configuration, testing, and sustainment of customer-specific systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field AND ten (10) years of relevant experience (Additional experience may substitute for degree)
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering
- Demonstrated expertise engineering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Proven ability to develop clear, comprehensive technical documentation and engineering diagrams
Desired:
- Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies
- Track record integrating enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience supporting secure Government or DoD enterprise environments
- Proficiency with Dell PowerEdge servers and enterprise storage platforms
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in complex, multi-layered infrastructure environments
