Position: Integration and Test Engineer
Pay Rate: $50-$80/hr
Location: San Diego, CA (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 12 month contract to hire
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
• Experience supporting system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Ability to analyze hardware and software system performance and implement effective solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional engineering and program teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple priorities
• Active Secret Security Clearance
Nice to Have Experience:
• Experience integrating and testing complex electronic, aerospace, or defense systems
• Hands-on experience with verification, qualification, and environmental testing activities
• Familiarity with requirements management and verification tools such as DOORS
• Understanding of verification planning and requirements traceability methodologies
• Experience working with EO/IR systems, sensors, optics, or related technologies
• Knowledge of Model-Based Engineering (MBE) tools and practices, including Cameo
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or Java

Position Overview:
The Integration and Test Engineer will support the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems in a mission-critical environment. This role partners closely with engineering teams, program stakeholders, and customers to ensure systems are fully integrated, validated, and ready for deployment while driving continuous improvements in test processes and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the integration, assembly, and testing of advanced aerospace and mission-critical systems.
Collaborate with engineers, program teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful system integration and deployment readiness.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and identify root causes of system failures.
Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve technical problems and improve reliability.
Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to optimize functionality.
Execute verification, qualification, and environmental testing activities as required.
Create and improve tools, processes, and test methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain requirements traceability and support verification activities using applicable engineering tools.
Document test results, findings, and recommendations for technical and program teams.
Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall system performance and test execution.
