Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) managing acquisition and/or geospatial technology programs supporting organizational mission requirements; (2) developing and executing program plans to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives; (3) managing program budgets, expenditures, or spend plans to support acquisition or modernization efforts; (4) evaluating or integrating geospatial, engineering, or reconnaissance technologies to improve operational capabilities; and (5) advising senior leadership on program management strategies, acquisition initiatives, or technical solutions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Additional information
- Serves as the Deputy Product Director, managing the cost, schedule, performance, and life-cycle support of complex Department of War (DoW) Programs of Record, specialized geospatial systems, and military engineering reconnaissance technologies.
- Oversees the design, development, and integration of state-of-the-art surveying, mapping, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to ensure seamless dissemination of critical spatial data to Joint Forums and warfighters.
- Formulates, defends, and executes multi-year program budgets and spend plans; monitors contract performance and resource allocation to prevent gaps and ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations.
- Serves as a primary technical advisor and spokesperson, presenting complex programmatic briefs to higher echelons, federal partners, and external stakeholders to drive collaborative geospatial initiatives.
- Provides strategic direction, leadership, and operational oversight to a multidisciplinary team of civilian and contractor personnel, planning for long-range staffing needs and fostering a highly technical workforce.
