Job Description

C-UAS / UxS Roles – Detailed Job Overview (• This program supports a broad Counter-UAS mission set across multiple functional areas, including training, operational analysis, system testing, data analytics, and equipment fielding, all within joint, interagency, and coalition environments

Training Specialists (General & Domain-Focused)
• Deliver comprehensive instruction on UxS/C-UAS systems through classroom, hands-on, and field-based training environments
• Train operators and maintainers on system capabilities, operations, maintenance procedures, and tactical employment
• Integrate UxS/C-UAS considerations into mission planning using the Military Decision-Making Process, supporting operational readiness and real-world execution
• Support mobile training teams and conduct training events both CONUS and OCONUS, including deployment to operational or austere environments
• Replicate adversary threats by simulating red-force UAS tactics, techniques, and procedures to prepare personnel for real-world engagements
• Conduct new equipment fielding and operator certification training to ensure effective system adoption
• Adapt instruction methods to varying skill levels, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback to improve proficiency and readiness
Domain-Specific Focus Areas:
• Fixed Site / Base Defense: Emphasis on installation protection, layered defense systems, and base defense operations
• Ground Operations: Focus on dismounted and mobile forces, tactical maneuver environments, and C-UAS integration at the tactical level
• Maritime Operations: Training tailored to naval and watercraft environments, including afloat operations and maritime threat scenarios

Training Developer (Instructional Systems / Curriculum)
• Design, develop, and maintain training programs, including Programs of Instruction, lesson plans, and supporting training materials
• Apply structured instructional design methodologies to develop scalable training solutions across classroom, field, and computer-based delivery
• Conduct task analysis, training needs assessments, and gap analysis to align curriculum with operational requirements
• Continuously update training content based on system changes, threat evolution, and operational feedback
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure training materials meet mission needs and are validated for operational use

Operations Research Analysts (Journeyman & Senior)
• Conduct in-depth operational analysis of C-UAS threats, vulnerabilities, and capability gaps across multiple mission domains
• Evaluate system performance, operational effectiveness, and emerging threat trends to inform mission planning and capability development
• Develop recommendations for improving C-UAS strategies, integration approaches, and operational procedures
• Produce analytical reports, briefings, and decision-support products for senior military and government leadership
• Coordinate with joint, interagency, and coalition partners to align requirements and ensure interoperability
Senior-Level Expectations:
• Lead analytical efforts and provide advanced subject matter expertise across domains
• Support long-term capability development and strategic planning initiatives
• Mentor junior analysts and guide cross-functional analysis efforts

• Lead planning and execution of new equipment testing and fielding efforts for C-UAS technologies
• Develop project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful system integration

• Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of systems in field environments
• Manage transition from testing to operational use, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum effectiveness
• Provide status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership

• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data from training events, exercises, and real-world missions
