We are needing a mission‑focused Web Developer with strong experience in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, and cloud‑based development. In this role, you’ll design and build custom plugins, themes, and interactive site features; configure and manage content within WordPress; and develop secure, scalable web applications in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities


In this challenging yet rewarding role as a Web Developer, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:

  Creating a custom WordPress plugin using PHP to add new functionality to a website.


• 
  Developing a customer WordPress theme using HTML, CSS, and PHP to create a unique design and layout.


• 
  Using JavaScript to create interactive elements, such as sliders or modals, on a WordPress website.


• 
  Designing and developing web-based applications.


• 
  Configuring content management in WordPress.


• 
  Understanding the WordPress core functions, hooks and APIs is essential for developing custom solutions.


• 
  Communicating with clients and customers in spoken and written formats.


• 
  Coding within AWS environments.


• 
  Designing, developing, integrating, and interfacing with systems and databases in a cloud environment.


• 
  Conveying technical information to non-technical individuals.

Highly Desired Qualifications


Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:


Creating graphics for websites utilizing Adobe Creative Suite of tools. Creativity and innovation to go beyond current tools to deliver the best solution to complex problems

  Creating and configuring virtual private clouds (VPCs).

  Creating Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances.


• 
  Configuring load balancers, security groups, and users and groups using AWS IAM.


• 
  Evaluating and maintaining systems, such as Unix and Linux, for availability and efficiency.


• 
  Creating compelling, interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power-Bi, or similar tool


• 
  Performing system administration and database management tasks with data management tools such as NoSQL and Tableau.


• 
  Using task tracking and version control tools such as GitHub and JIRA.


• 
  Making recommendations regarding proposed changes.


• 
  Communicating with clients and customers in spoken and written formats.


• 
  Conveying technical information to non-technical individuals.


• 
  Integrating COTS applications with custom tools.


• 
  Integrating Sponsor data sets.


• 
  Working in a DevOps environment.

  Automating business workflows and processes.

  Working with data flows across the Sponsor’s enterprise data warehouses.

  Designing and developing in Palantir.
