Position Location

This position is located onsite and currently pays $33.47/hr.

Job Overview

The incumbent keeps guest rooms and common areas in a clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and removing rubbish. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement .

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Cleans guest rooms including, but not limited to, making beds, vacuuming, wiping down/dusting all surfaces and replenishing guest amenities.
  • Cleans and keeps sleeping areas, public areas, working areas and washrooms in an orderly condition.
  • Sweeps, mops or scrubs, and polishes floors.
  • Removing chips, trash, and other refuse.
  • Dusts equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
  • Polishes metal fixtures or trimming.
  • Provides supplies and minor maintenance services.
  • Cleans lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.
Accountable For:
  • The proper use of equipment commonly used in the custodial field.
  • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
  • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
  • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Adherence to established CGS, LLC safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
  • Compliance with CGS, LLC Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
  • Having the ability to work well under pressure.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years' relevant work experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Favorable National Agency Check w/Inquiries (NACI); or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level or Top-Secret Level, as applicable to the position/location requirements.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record as pertinent to the position.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred:
  • Experience working on a government contract.
  • Customer Service experience.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is occasionally performed in a shop or other facility environment that is moderately lighted, heated and ventilated, is exposed to disagreeable fumes and to cuts and bruises from using tools in close placed and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts and sweepers in shop area.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock.
  • Work hours are subject to change, with weekend and/or holiday work as needed.


Physical Requirements:
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
