The base salary range for this position is $177,900 to $223,550 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits.
JOB DESCRIPTION

MissionEdge is seeking a software engineer who is ready to dive into meaningful work and support a key government customer. This role involves analyzing user and system requirements to design, develop, test, modify, and maintain software applications and systems. Responsibilities include debugging and improving existing software, developing database queries and algorithms, integrating software into new environments, and ensuring systems meet performance and operational standards. The position also includes collaborating with engineers and users to identify solutions, writing and reviewing technical documentation, supporting software installation and testing activities, improving development processes and standards, and leading software development teams to deliver high-quality solutions within project requirements and constraints.
Telework (up to 16 hours per week) may be available for this position based on mission needs/available tasking at the discretion of leadership, after the individual has become fully acclimated to the duties and responsibilities of the position and has completed the necessary telework training.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
- Fourteen (14) years of Software Engineering (SWE) experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. An additional four (4) years of relevant Software Engineering experience supporting similar software development processes may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency developing software solutions using Python and PySpark for data processing, automation, and application development.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and Amazon DynamoDB.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-based applications and data processing solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile software development environment.
