Job Description

Position Title: Intel Analyst
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Salary: $120K-$140K

This successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct all-source analysis and assist in the collection and dissemination of information to U.S. and coalition forces, on a need-to-know basis, concerning target device TTPs, technology, and safe handling procedures.
  • Utilize various intelligence disciplines (e.g., TECHINT, SIGINT/CYBER, HUMINT, MASINT, etc.) from all levels of classified information.
  • Travel CONUS and OCONUS (to include possible conflict areas) on short notice to disseminate relevant threat information as directed by customer requests.
  • Provide high-level subject matter proficiency and advanced technical knowledge of highly specialized applications and technology
  • support to DEVCOM C5ISR Center for Counter-Improvised Threat devices, equipment, software, and training, including all manners of improvised threats from Counter-UAS to Counter-UMS.
  • Research unclassified and classified databases for use in written products, and monitor and analyze strategic and operational
  • intelligence information.
  • Provide research support to analysts producing Intelligence Community reports and briefings, as well as direct support to current operations.
  • Research, author, and coordinate threat assessments to support the Commander and/or leaders in the U.S. civilian intelligence community.
  • Present, discuss, and defend assessments to the intelligence community and technical community.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of analytical policies and procedures.
  • Generate specialized analytical products, and search/screen all media sources to provide assessments of intelligence impacts.
  • Operate effectively as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of CJOA requirements, including support to the CENTCOM AOR or other specific COCOMs.


Required Qualifications
  • Current and Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Military Intelligence MOS background with completed formal military intelligence training/school.
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience.


Education/Experience Equivalencies may be considered as follows:
  • Associate's degree plus 9 years of experience
  • No degree plus 11 years of recent specialized experience

Required Experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of HUMINT, SIGINT, ELINT, FISINT, and IMINT intelligence disciplines, with the ability to fuse disparate data into completed reports.
  • Understanding of threat device engineering and function.
  • Hands-on instruction experience with UAS and Counter-UAS platforms.
  • Ability to integrate UAS and C-UAS TTPs into operational and intelligence planning.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISR Operations Collection Strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Ability to identify UAS and UMS systems and provide analysis to identify trends on target devices and TTPs.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications and intelligence-related automation, as well as specialized intelligence tools, to support analytical efforts and final product development.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, as well as briefing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and ability to analyze the latest commercial-based and emerging technologies that could be utilized by adversaries, and ability to articulate how use of that technology would affect DoD capability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic signature detection equipment, and technical expertise in identification, function, and tactics involving Counter-Improvised threats, including integration with associated equipment and reporting entities.
  • Ability to support training on Tactical Air Threats to include Groups 1-3+ UAS, with familiarity in threat components, briefing/exercise development, and over-the-shoulder instruction on detecting modified home-made and defense-industry-produced UAS.
  • Ability to identify and characterize Counter-UAS and UMS detectors/indicators and their compatibility with associated training devices, electronic countermeasures, and multiple capability detectors.
  • Ability to deliver over-the-shoulder support from the tactical to strategic level related to UAS and UMS exploitation across multiple intelligence disciplines (ELINT, SIGINT, IMINT, HUMINT, and FISINT), including publishing findings to the greater DoD.
  • Ability to provide over-the-shoulder support to DoD personnel on UAS and ISR capabilities for a wide range of threat actors, including CT and near-peer adversaries, to inject TTPs and capabilities into training and real-world application.
  • Ability to provide ISR Operations expertise on detecting and collecting against adversary UAS and UMS systems, with recommendations to U.S. and multinational partners on best practices.
  • Ability to develop technically oriented training programs that integrate collection platforms and intelligence reporting, and build training injects that exercise connectivity with various agencies and higher headquarters.
  • Ability to analyze networks and produce products that help a commander and staff understand sophisticated insurgent and criminal networks.
  • Experience with unique collection planning projects utilizing advanced collection techniques and technologies focused on UAS threat detection, integrated with specialized defeat capabilities.
  • Understanding the mechanical function and design of air threats, including structural, propulsion, and weapons capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) for identified locations using knowledge of current commercial-based technology TTPs and availability.
