Cyber Operational Planner

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Operations Planner to support a government organization focused on defending and securing Department of Defense cyberspace operations. This position is onsite at Fort Meade, MD. The Cyber Operations Planner will support defensive cyberspace planning, future operations, and mission execution across DoD networks while collaborating with senior leaders, joint staff elements, combatant commands, and cyber mission partners. Responsibilities for the Cyber Operations Planner include:

• Conduct future operations (FUOPS) planning and support the execution of defensive cyberspace operations across DoD mission areas.
• Lead and support deliberate planning and Crisis Action Planning utilizing the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
• Develop and author CONOPS, Commander's Estimates, BPLANS, CONPLANS, OPLANS, mission orders, white papers, and other operational planning products.
• Coordinate with combatant commands, service cyber components, agencies, and subordinate organizations to synchronize defensive cyberspace operations.
• Prepare and deliver briefings to Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership while facilitating planning teams and working groups.

Required Qualifications for the Cyber Operations Planner include:

• 8-10 years of experience supporting military operations planning, cyberspace operations, joint planning, or related mission areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Publication (JP) 3-12 Cyberspace Operations, JP 3-0 Operations, and JP 5-0 Joint Planning.
• Experience developing operational plans, integrating stakeholder requirements, conducting assessments, and supporting operational planning teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance required with eligibility for a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• Joint Professional Military Education (JPME I) certification required.

Compensation for the Cyber Operations Planner include:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
