Responsibilities
As The Security Specialist Insider Threat Lead, you will:
- Support an integrated program for identifying, coordinating, and mitigating risks arising from trusted access to sensitive information, systems, facilities, and operations.
- Bring together relevant personnel, information, physical, and operational security inputs; maintains procedures and records; and supports structured review of potential insider-risk indicators and actions.
- Coordinate with authorized Government stakeholders, contribute to awareness and training, and helps ensure that sensitive information is handled within controlled processes.
- Through disciplined documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and timely escalation, the Security Specialist Insider Threat strengthens the organization's ability to recognize concerning patterns, coordinate appropriate responses, and reduce internal security risk while respecting established authorities and protections.
- Support integrated insider-threat processes that connect personnel, information, physical, cyber, and operational security functions.
- Receive, document, route, and track authorized insider-threat information and actions in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate risk reviews and response activities with designated Government stakeholders and functional security representatives.
- Analyze available security information for patterns, gaps, or indicators requiring additional review or protective action.
- Develop and maintain insider-threat procedures, process documentation, action records, and management reporting.
- Prepare awareness materials, briefings, and training support that reinforce reporting responsibilities and risk recognition.
- Monitor corrective or mitigating actions and provide status updates to authorized program leadership.
- Recommend process improvements that strengthen information sharing, documentation, and cross-functional threat mitigation.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
- Experience providing Insider Threat Detection Analysis, Security Incident Management Actions and Active Shooter Awareness and Intervention Activities.
- Possess specialized experience with flag-officer level briefings and senior-level interface.
- Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
- CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
