Job Description

Akima Systems Engineering ASE, an Akima company is looking to hire on Interior Communications installation on site quality control specialist to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. Qualified candidate will assist in oversight of quality installations of US Navy Interior Communications telephony and announcing systems. Qualified candidate will liaison between ASE, Govt customer and Pascagoula Naval Shipyard on condition of systems, assist in trouble shooting and prepare reports on material condition of systems. Qualified person must be an independent employee who enjoys the challenge of helping assist on day-to-day installation quality control and technical issues with electrical/electronic communication systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the quality of installations. Performs inspections to meet the standard set by the Interior Communication Program.
  • Recommend corrective actions in order to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Initiates improvements related to quality findings.
  • Examines reports and trends to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

  • 4 Years Electronic Military Experience and/or Apprenticeship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to use test equipment for use in trouble shooting
  • Ability to read and interpret block, elementary and isometric wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to climb shipboard ladders and lift up to 50LBs
  • Travel may be required.
