You will serve as the Engineering Services Memorandum (ESM) Program Quality Engineering point of contact supporting system improvements, design releases, and field support. You will interface with various Raytheon Organizations including Engineering and our internal Program Quality Leadership Team.
This is an on-site position with the primary work location in Tewksbury or Andover, MA, with regular local travel between the two sites.
- Interface with the CPT (Cross Product Teams), IPT (Integrated Product Team), Functions, and program on key ESM tasks for Quality within the LTAMDS SSBU.
- Drive Quality tasks, participate in design reviews, CCB sign offs, qualification planning, flight test walk ups, IR (Independent Reviewer), and trade study in support of ESM tasking.
- Support sustainment team with fielded assets driving continued improvements in hardware, system, software, reliability, and maintainability.
- Coordinate program/customer reviews, meetings, internal handoffs and customer deliveries aligned to ESM execution.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145 and New Product Introduction (NPI) to establish Product Maturity
- Use technical expertise to review Engineering work products (e.g., technical analysis, technical data packages) to identify and eliminate defects.
- Participate in technical peer reviews of initial design releases, change incorporation, prototype development, and test plans
- Evaluate technical requirements and manufacturing trade-offs to assess potential risks or opportunities and collaborate with Engineering on mitigation action plans
- Support root cause initiatives and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Requires I Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Relevant experience is work in engineering or quality engineering
- Experience in hardware design, reliability, and/or manufacturability assessments.
- Experience with quality tools (e.g. Pareto analysis, Histogram, Scatter Diagram, cause/effect diagrams, and/or process mapping)
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Design Engineering experience, with insight into common design challenges and potential quality risk areas
- Experience with quality frameworks, such as APQP, AS9145, ISO 9001, or AS9100; utilizing tools such as PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, DFMAs, or Critical Items
- Familiarity with Risk & Opportunity analysis
- Experience supporting audit and hardware sell-off activities

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
