Job Description

Projects do not deliver themselves, and in an enterprise IT environment the distance between a requirement and an award is where most programs lose time. The Red Gate Group is seeking a Project Manager to support a major Intelligence Community customer, running projects end to end and driving acquisition records through their lifecycle so requirements become delivered capability on schedule.

As the Project Manager, you will plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectives. You will set clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage the constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality. You will develop the overall project plan and run project operations day to day, managing stakeholders, the project team, risk, schedule, budget, and conflicts, making sure every team member knows and executes their role, keeping production schedules on track, using system resources effectively, and coordinating resolution when production problems surface. You will build the relationships between customers, teaming partners, and vendors that IT service delivery depends on.

You will also own the acquisition side of delivery. That means fully engaging stakeholders, from business managers and Contracting Officer Representatives to requirement owners and program managers, on requirements and the activities around them. You will create acquisition records and requisitions in customer systems, build out contract line item numbers, obtain and add funding to records, upload supporting documentation, and finalize records with the COR or requirement owner. You will review acquisition documentation for completeness, including statements of work, independent government cost estimates, market research, and justifications and approvals, track requirements records through their full lifecycle, respond to action items, and push recommendations through to timely award. Along the way you will manage all project and acquisition documentation, monitor acquisition status, keep dashboards current, and generate the weekly and monthly reporting metrics each record or project requires. If you like owning outcomes from requirement to award to delivery, this is the seat.

Join us. The mission runs on projects that finish.

You Have
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including recent experience within the last 2 years. This experience requirement is firm and cannot be met through education or certifications.
  • Master's degree in a related field, or one of the following in its place: an Associate's degree in a related field and 4 additional years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 additional years of relevant experience, or 6 additional years of relevant experience. The additional years used in place of the degree are on top of the 8 year experience requirement above, not counted within it.
  • Experience planning, executing, and closing projects, including managing cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting federal acquisition activities, including creating and tracking acquisition records, building contract line item numbers, managing funding actions, and reviewing acquisition documentation.
  • Experience engaging government stakeholders such as CORs, requirement owners, and program managers.
  • Experience maintaining dashboards and producing recurring status reporting and metrics.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, or the ability to obtain a polygraph.

Nice If You Have
  • Experience supporting an Intelligence Community customer.
  • PMP or equivalent project management credential.
  • Experience with government acquisition or requirements management systems.
  • Familiarity with acquisition documentation standards, including SOW/SOR development, IGCEs, market research, and Justifications and Approvals.
