The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a to support the development, analysis, and integration of complex radar systems. Your contributions will include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost, risk, and supportability assessments for advanced airborne RF systems.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to analyzing large datasets, conducting functional and timeline analyses, and translating customer requirements into accurate hardware and software specifications. The role requires converting product requirements into effective system solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints, as well as supporting new system designs and existing system sustainment.
This position involves regular collaboration with subject matter experts across software, systems, reliability, and test disciplines. Strong analytical, research, and communication skills are essential for understanding system operations and presenting well-supported technical solutions.
- Learn and understand complex radar systems across operational, engineering, and systems domains
- Support development, analysis, and integration of radar systems
- Analyze large datasets and perform functional and timeline assessments
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and system solutions
- Perform system integration, technical planning, verification and validation, and cost and risk assessments
- Evaluate solution options using metric-based analysis
- Develop new system solutions and support existing configurations
- Research system documentation to understand current system operation
- Present technical findings clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5-years of experience with Electrical/RF/Radar systems, signal processing, and sensor control systems, such as ISAR or SAR modes
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with radar system simulation tools and real-world radar installations
- Experience with performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance within one year
- Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Software project management experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience using Microsoft Office tool suite and MATLAB. Unix/Linux and C++

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
