Job Description
Senior IT Consultant responsible for securing, maintaining, and upgrading Cisco network infrastructure (ASA, FirePower, NEXUS switches), applying STIG/STE security policies, configuring RADIUS authentication, and monitoring network health, requiring full security clearance and IAT II certification.
• Strong background in Cisco Network Security, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Cisco Firewall Management (FirePower)
• Must maintain and upgrade Cisco networks, including routers and switches.
• Must update and configure virus protection software and other programs to keep the networks secure.
• Must apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) fixes to switches and Software Test and Evaluation (STE) policies.
• Designing and planning the network for Cisco NEXUS switches
• Experience with Firepower Device Manager and/or Firepower Management Center Platforms
• Must be able to configure Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) for device administration on switches.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (Cisco/Solarwinds)
• Work as part of a team, support hours are 0600-1800 hrs daily, candidate will work 8 hour shift in this window.
