Operations Officer

• Provide operational logistical guidance, counsel, and assistance to the directorate offices.
• Evaluate activities for achievement of operational logistical objectives.
• Support operational logistics force requirements based on sustainment operations concept plans.
• Use automated logistics planning systems to develop time phased force and sustainment schedules and information.
• Represent the Director at conferences and seminars, locally or CONUS, on matters such as planning future operations, funding, and personnel requirements.
• Supervise employees (civilian and military) of the Directorate of Logistics (DOL).
• Develop and standardize procedures for budget development and execution.

• This position requires the incumbent to pass a pre-placement medical and dental examination prior to appointment, as well as receive required immunizations IAW MOD18.
• The duties of this position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a US driver's license.
• The incumbent will be required to work overtime as well as some holidays and weekends.
• This position requires overnight travel for business and/or training approximately 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing logistical support and guidance to ensure readiness of the organization, working on Tables of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) and assisting in the development and formulation of yearly budget.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
