Key Responsibilities
• Manage system and derived requirements to ensure alignment with approved architectures (DoDAF, SOA).
• Develop and contribute to Systems Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Define and allocate functional, system, and lower level requirements across hardware, software, facilities, and personnel.
• Support system of systems engineering, interface development, and cross discipline coordination across IPTs and CCBs.
• Provide technical leadership in requirements elicitation, functional allocation, architecture development, integration, and end to end system analysis.
• Develop alternative system concepts, architectures, solutions, and conduct trade studies using validated modeling and simulation.
• Define and implement methods and criteria for system and subsystem verification; ensure traceability and completeness of requirements.
• Manage configuration control, lifecycle baselines, and program risk assessments.
• Support DoD certification/accreditation processes and the development of JCIDS documentation.
• Create operational concepts, mission threads, and time line analyses describing system interactions and performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards and promote interoperability across participating systems.
• Serve as the primary engineering liaison to government stakeholders, program leadership, and senior executives.
Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must already be held)
• 20+ years of systems engineering experience in large scale DoD programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or 5 additional years experience in lieu of degree).
• Strong knowledge of AWS and alternative cloud service frameworks; ability to architect scalable and secure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing and deploying physical and virtual VDI and VPN infrastructures.
• Proficiency in network topology design for secure, high performance system connectivity.
• Expertise with DoDAF views, SOA implementation, requirements traceability, interface control, and risk management.
