Summary:
• Develop and implement data engineering solutions.
• Manage and document data flows.
• Utilize Systems Engineering principles.
• Work with technologies like NiFi, Linux, MySQL, Java, and Splunk.
• Lead agile development efforts.
• Integrate various products and systems.
• Ensure system security and software configuration management.
• Conduct requirements analysis and contribute to software architecture.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 14+ years
• Total Compensation: $274k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Outline, develop, and implement data engineering solutions.
• Work with NiFi, Linux environments, data ontologies, and structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON).
• Apply database experience (MySQL/NoSQL) and analytic query skills.
• Identify, map, and model data transformation routines for ingestion into corporate repositories.
• Document new and existing data flows supporting data routing implementations.
• Support Systems Engineering efforts.
• Implement comprehensive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions.
• Conduct and/or approve end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize system operations.
• Ensure effective, periodic review and control of evolving system configurations (hardware, software, documentation).
• Develop system design alternatives considering life cycle cost, reuse, complexity, risk, expansion, and growth.
• Maintain knowledge of current and evolving agency, national, and international standards applicable to system development.
• Recommend preferred solutions based on selection criteria.
• Provide technical direction for the full systems engineering life cycle.
• Fully define interfaces in terms of origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics for software.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Desired: Working knowledge of smart data systems and entitlements.
• Desired: Experience with JAVA and Splunk.
• Desired: Experience with current and evolving agency dataflow and reporting solutions.
• Desired: Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements.
• Desired: Experience in leading agile development models.
• Desired: Experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.
• Desired: Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments.
• Desired: Experience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives.
