support of the DoD Chief Information Officer (CIO) Special Access Program Information
Technology (SAP IT). This role ensures that architecture strategies align with mission
requirements, federal and DoD policies, and emerging technologies across classified

using frameworks such as DoDAF, the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), MBSE, and ICAM.

This position requires five days per week of in-office work in Arlington, VA, and may include

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise and Systems Architecture Leadership
o Support enterprise architecture assessments to identify risks, gaps, and inefficiencies in
current SAP IT environments.
o Define target architecture states and create comprehensive transition roadmaps that align
with DoD CIO strategy and mission priorities.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture direction for IT infrastructure,
cybersecurity, data systems, and emerging technologies.

Architecture Development and Documentation
o Apply the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) to model enterprise, operational, and
system viewpoints that complement DoDAF architecture products.
o Architect and document data, cloud, software, security, and ICAM solutions that support
SAP IT's operational goals.
o Create and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs), design specifications, and
integration strategies.

Governance and Framework Alignment
o Establish and enforce enterprise architecture governance processes, including change
management and architecture board reviews.
o Align systems architecture development with DoD-wide guidance such as the DoD ICAM
Reference Architecture, RMF policies, and the Fulcrum Strategy.

Emerging Technologies and MBSE Integration
o Guide the implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital twins, and
digital threads into SAP IT architecture workflows.
o Learn to apply modeling languages such as SysML and UAF, and architecture tools (e.g.,
Cameo, Sparx EA).
o Evaluate the scalability and integration potential of new technologies including AI/ML,
cloud-native services, and cross-domain solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
o Collaborate with program stakeholders, DoD Components, and IC partners to ensure
interoperability and architecture alignment.
o Support delivery of technical briefings, architecture presentations, and white papers to
leadership and technical teams.
o Support the development and delivery of enterprise architecture training and awareness
materials.
