Job Description
- Provide depot-level maintenance support which includes the overhaul, modification, repair, testand analysis, system integration and fabrication of selected systems.
- Support field units and customers both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) through telephone hot lines and teams for on-site technical assistance to include complete sell-off to customers.
- Manage the programs assigned through subordinate supervisors.
- Ensure production is accomplished within established timelines and program requirements.
- Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or more of the time for the position.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment OGE 450 financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year Supervisory probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Managing and Coordinating depot-level maintenance support; Coordinating technical assistance and product sell-off to continental United States (CONUS) and outside continental United States (OCONUS) field units; Collaborating with Logistics Management Specialists (LMS), Production Controllers, and General Supply Specialists to resolve supply chain issues ensuring minimal impact to program timelines; Exercising administrative and technical authority over a diverse workforce. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
